Another good week :)
I feel like I say that EVERY week but...missionary work makes me happy, and sister Davis is awesome so we have a lot of fun :)
Our week was really busy with meetings and things though.
After I emailed on Tuesday we went and had a lesson with Adrian our investigator. He is SO funny. We were talking about the prophet and we showed him the picture in the ensign from general conference with President Monson and the apostles and he looked at it and said "OHHHH so its like a gang! you got your man guy, the smart guy and the muscle guy.(point to the first presidency) Then you got all his main workers ( pointing to the apostles). But in a gang you have a bunch of soldiers too." then i flipped the magazine open and showed him the Quorum of the 70 and he just busted up laughing. It was really funny.
On Wednesday we had our zone conference..so it was just a long meeting that day, but it was pretty funny. We talked about a lot of things like giving up "weapons of rebellion" and an elder talked about how he at the beginning of his mission was writing 10 girls and how he wrote them all off so he could be more focused. It was really funny. We also had a talk on dress and appearance with our mission presidents wife. Which doesn't sound fun, but at one point she said "bottom-line, just cover up the girls" soooo it was fun too. haha.
That night we also taught Yolanda again, but this time we brought a member of our ward how speaks Spanish and the whole lesson i didn't have a CLUE what was going on haha BUT i think we finally got her to realize she needs Spanish missionaries so that's a plus :)
Thursday not a ton happened, We did teach some people but nothing to exciting. We did teach Jessica and April though. They are so awesome! It never stops amazing me how much they remember and understand about the gospel already. They remember EVERYTHING we teach them. I love it! and they're going to be baptized this Saturday! so keep them in our prayers that everything will go well :)
Friday we did exchanges and It was really nice. I got to work with my mission Grandma :) (my trainers trainer) Sister Hiene. It was really good to take her to see some of the people she had taught in our ward that are now struggling. Its really cool to see the bond people have with the missionaries that teach them.
Saturday was good. the real highlights i think were that we got to teach Adrian again. I love teaching him because its super easy to be really blunt with him, and we can joke around and he doesn't get offended. At one point we were sitting on his curb (we always teach him outside) and he was telling us that he wants to change his life, but he just feels like he needs something to anchor himself to. So i asked if he felt like he needed to change for someone. and he said yes and so i told him to change for Jesus. and he fell back against the sidewalk and yelled "oh you guys are good! you re good" haha it was really funny.
Also later that night a sister Davis asked a little kid if he wanted to be a missionary one day and he looked at he and said "No, i don't want to be a missionary, i want to be a ROCK STAR!"
And Sunday wasn't to uneventful, we had 3 investigator at church, OH and one of my former investigators showed up to church! hes 10 and her name is Janasia but she told us that she missed church so she told her mom (who is also a former) to drop her off. it was really cool!
And that brings us to today :) Thank for all the emails everyone! i love and miss you all so much!
Love Sister Redd
