Fwd: 20 years old!
First of all thanks for all the birthday wishes today!
It makes it a little better while being away from everyone haha :) I miss you all so much! But this week went well.
Sister Price and I get along so well. We have had a BLAST this week. We are like T.V./ movie soul mates! It has been so funny when things happen through out the day and we can just look at each other and we already know what the other is thinking/ what movie they are about to quote. I LOVE IT! haha so its been fun.
We did a lot of teaching this week. Some fun Word of Wisdom lessons, and finding out investigators don't believe in God, fun things like that :) So it was a little bit of a challenge, and we are taking a few steps back with some people, BUT we have one investigator who is doing really well. Her name is Melissa, and I think I have talked about her before but she is awesome! this week we took my like all time favorite member in this ward (Michelle) to our lesson. It was so cool though because we taught the plan of salvation and at the end Melissa was like "No... well not for you guys. I have a bunch of questions for her though (pointing to Michelle)". Michelle is a recent convert of just over a year and she got to tell Melissa her conversion story and it was so cool because it was EXACTLY what Melissa needed to hear right now. I just love how the lord works through each of us, and can use each of our experiences to help others.
We also had a few crazy things happen.. First sister Vianuku (one of my roommates) got bit by a dog! she was walking down the street and some guy walking his dog was on the phone, and did see his dog jumping on her. The Dog jumped up and bit her leg, and the guy just looked over, said sorry and kept walking. So we had to rush her over to Urgent care to get it cleaned and get her antibiotics.
WE also got to take a picture with some one this week. It wont mean much to anyone who isn't a missionary in our mission, but if you are, you will be super Jealous. Sister Price and I got a picture with the SUBWAY MAN! this guy stands on corners all over Rancho Cucamonga rocking out waving a subway sign, and he is a LEGEND amongst the missionaries here, so it was pretty exciting. And the best part, he wants to come to church! How neat is that? (p.s. for anyone who sees him from now on, his name is Chris, so say hi!) I will attach the picture.
Other than that... I had a great morning haha. I woke up this morning to my companion and my 2 roommates dog piling me and tickling me while signing happy birthday, then I went into our living room to see a sign that said "looks like a sexy 20 year old just woke up" some balloons and blueberry muffins waiting for me. It was so great. I love these girls :)
we also played ultimate Frisbee, soccer and touch football for like 2 hours this morning so it has been a good day.
