Good week!
So this week was good, but it went by so fast!
Some main points from this week.
We spent a lot of the time getting Susan ready for her baptism this Saturday. We and really excited and so is she. I feel bad though because one of the families in the ward set up their sealing for this Saturday too (they set it up after Susan announced her baptism) and so a lot of the ward wont be there. She is still VERY excited though.
We had a lot of lessons fall though this week which is always really hard and frustrating, but that's okay. At one point this week we went to check in on our investigator lance, because he missed a lesson we had set up and we wanted to see what was going on. So we stopped by his house and there were big piles of rocks balancing on each other and i thought it was kinda weird, but then at some point during the conversation he told us that he did that last time he went to outer space and a bunch of weird stuff like that, and he showed us that he has a dream journal and that he made his own language. haha Needless to say we realized in this visit that Lance struggles with the word of wisdom. a lot. haha but he still a very nice and sincere guy. hahahha i almost forgot, while at his house, his dog pooped on my companions shoe. It was pretty dang funny.
Umm only other thing that happened was we spend 4 hours helping a less active family keep out their back yard. We originally only planned on staying for an hour but the task too much longer then we thought. The yard was FULL of broken bottles and diapers, and other trash, but mostly those too. While carrying a trash bag out of the back yard though, a broken glass bottle i threw in there poked threw and sliced my leg :( it didn't hurt too bad, until i let sister Johnson clean it with alcohol later, haha that stung.
And the last thing, just to explain the pictures, while tracting this week, me and sister Johnson walked past 4 empty house lots in the middle of a neighborhood. No one thing about Victorville is that people dump trash EVERYWHERE so while we were walking past these empty lots, we kept seeing huge piles of diapers, we counted. There were about 40 in this little strip of land. GROSS Haha.
Anyways Things are going well.
We're working hard and seeing the blessing from it.
Hope all is well with you all. I love and miss you!
Sister Rebecca Redd
